Pad printing on shot glasses

Pad printing is typically used in scenarios where other print methods struggle to deliver the desired results: precise, delicate details on raised or sunken surfaces. In this video we want to show you one of its various possibilities. This time on shot glasses with a little nice beach scenario ;-)

TUTORIAL: How to do a correct ink mixing

Marabu would like to give you a simple but very important hint: No matter which components you have to mix in your ink, make sure that you stir them well and long enough, at least for 2-3 min. The video shows what happens if you don’t mix UV screen printing inks for glass and the necessary adhesion modifier long enough. Left side is stirred too short and right side is stirred correct. The cross-hatch tape test of left side shows bad adhesion of ink, no abbression resistance, no chemical resistance and bad ink leveling. With the right side everything is fine and this only because the ink mixture was stirred correct.

Pad printing is typically used in scenarios where other print methods struggle to deliver the desired results: precise, delicate details on raised or sunken surfaces. In this video we want to show you one of its various possibilities. We print with Marabu's ink system TampaTex TPX which was originally conceived as an ink for printing on textiles, for example for washing instructions on T-shirts. Experience has shown that TampaTex TPX also achieves excellent adhesion on many other materials, such PP, PA, PU, some TPE and EVA substrates, plus neoprene and imitation leather. It is also suitable for use in screen printing.
